Bring your old "e-waste," or electronic waste, for recycling at the library and help make a greener earth. The Lower East Side Ecology Center is collecting electronic items, in good and non-working condition, as part of an Earth Day celebration series. All electronic items, except household appliances, are welcome including:
- Computers and their components (monitors, printers, scanners)
- Fax machines, copiers, network devices
- TVs, VCRs, DVDs, and all audio-visual equipment
- Cell phones, pagers, PDAs, and all telecommunication devices
The event is open to residents and small businesses with 50 employees or less. Employers should call ahead.
