The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble was established in 1951. Its mission was (and still is) to collect and present folk music and folk dances from Hungary and Hungarian-inhabited areas, while wearing the traditional costumes of these regions. This extraordinary presentation features one
of the highest regarded folkloric dance companies in the world. The company is accompanied live on-stage by both the Folk Orchestra and Gipsy Orchestra playing traditional Hungarian folk music
at its highest artistic level.
