What to bring: For Show and Tell, a completed project (or work in progress) to share with the group. This may be a quilt, garment, or accessory you have made. In the spirit of community, this is a great opportunity to share your sewing skills and a beautiful finished product.Supplies to work on a current project during our session. This is an open sew, so bring something you are currently working on and join in the camaraderie of community sewing! We will have a few sewing machines available, but please try to bring your own if you have one. We will also have a pressing station (iron and ironing board) and cutting station set up. Also, do not feel obligated to sew on a machine, hand work (cross-stitch, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, etc.) is of course always welcome!

Optional: De-stash items. Fabrics, craft/sewing books, thread, notions, or sewing supplies that may need a new home. We will have a “share” table for these items. If your items do not find a home, please make sure to take them with you at the end of the event. Optional: Lunch/snack/refreshment for yourself or the group. Light refreshments (water/coffee/tea and cookies) will be available. There are no food concessions in the park, so if you'd like to snack please bring something from home.
FEATURED PROJECT: We are partnering with Project Sunshine to provide supplies to make surgi dolls! If you do not have a project to work on, we will have a pattern and supplies on hand to make 8-10 dolls. All the materials will be provided. The dolls can be made by hand or machine and can definitely be completed in one sitting during the Open Sew. Dolls will be donated to help children prepare for surgery and other medical procedures.
