Welcome to Peach Season

Take a look at this recipe, which combines peaches and spice.

We may have already passed the unofficial end of summer, but peach season is in full swing.

Farmers markets throughout the boroughs are fully stocked with the fuzzy fruit and should be till September’s end. The recipe below, inspired from Better Homes and Gardens, combines the perfect blend of melding season - sweet juicy summer peaches and warm fall spices.

4 ripe medium peaches, sliced and peeled
2 teaspoons of sugar (optional)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon freshly grated orange rind
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon whole cloves
