It was quieter in Douglaston this week following the bustle of Thanksgiving and the recent debut of Fairway Market.

But fans of the neighborhood’s green market were given one reason to cheer: Orange County’s Madura Farms will continue to sell mushrooms and other greens in front of a private business along Douglaston Parkway for a few extra weeks.

Also, the city’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority said it would replace a bus stop that was recently removed at Northern Boulevard and Douglaston Parkway.
