Monday

Mayor Michael Bloomberg endorsed state Assemblywoman Grace Meng, D-Flushing, in the Sixth Congressional District race. Reviews in This Week at the Movies included “Looper” and “Pitch Perfect.”

Tuesday

During its monthly meeting, CB 11 voted in favor of variances for two gas stations and an animal hospital as well as talked about airplane noise over Bayside resulting from a new LaGuardia Airport flight pattern.

And Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott’s annual report card for city schools ranked District 26 as the best in the city. State Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, said he would focus on his reelection campaign and called a bid for borough president a “rumor.”

Wednesday
