Week in Review

It was a busy week for local news, despite the looming holiday weekend.

Community leaders said they are calling for the city’s Design and Construction Department to ensure that a project to upgrade Shore Road does not tamper with the historic character of the roadway.

Douglas Manor residents said they were upset that Con Edison has still not addressed a power surge that occurred in the community on Nov. 23.
