Week In Review

It was a busy week for news. 

The Douglaston Little Neck Historical Society hosted a tour of the neighborhood's Rose Cottage last weekend. Read our story on the event.

Congress passed the debt ceiling bill to prevent a national default. But after that storm had passed, another rained down on northeast Queens, pelting homes and cars with huge chunks of hail.

The 111th Precinct held its annual Night Out on Crime and Patch posted a profile of Sister Jean Flannelly, a Douglaston nun who has recently taken on a major leadership role at one of the city's Catholic colleges.
