UV Levels to Remain in Medium to High Range This Week

Drop in temperature has not necessarily led to drop in UV or pollen levels in northeast Queens.

Despite the recent drop in temperatures, UV levels will remain relatively high during the first half of the week, according to Pollen.com.

On Monday, Bayside's levels will be at 9, which is in the medium high range, but will drop to 8 on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, UV levels will shoot up to 10, which is in the high range.

For those with allergies, Monday's levels will be at 5.5 in the medium range, but will rise to 5.9 on Tuesday. Levels will then jump up to 7.8 in the medium high range on Wednesday.

Patch would recommend using tons of sunscreen regardless of the forecast, but with recent dissention among experts on whether or not it is beneficial—or even safe—a hat seems a surer bet. Check out this report from U.S. Health News and decide for yourself.
