UV Levels Lower This Week

Temperatures and UV levels will drop slightly this week, but allergy levels will remain high.

Temperatures for northeast Queens will remain in the low 80s for the first half of the week before rising to the mid-80s closer to the weekend, according to the weather report.

The week's UV levels will also hover in the medium range at 7 for Monday through Thursday, according to Pollen.com.

But those with allergies may not have much cause for celebration. Today, allergy levels will be in the medium-high range at 9 and will rise to 9.4 on Tuesday and 9.5 on Wednesday.

On Friday, allergy levels will jump up to 10, which is in the high range.

Patch would recommend using tons of sunscreen regardless of the forecast, but with recent dissention among experts on whether or not it is beneficial—or even safe—a hat seems a surer bet. Check out this report from U.S. Health News and decide for yourself.
