Update on the Nor'easter Headed to New York City

Expect high winds and snow on Thursday.

New York City should get some snow and high winds on Thursday, thanks to the winter's latest Nor’easter.

The National Weather Service says snow is expected for Thursday afternoon. It’ll be cloudy with a high near 39 degrees and a north wind blowing 24 to 26 miles per hour with gusts as high as 46 miles per hour. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation with new snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday night should also bring snow with lows around 32 degrees. It’ll be breezy with a north wind 18 to 21 miles per hour and gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of one to two inches possible.

On Friday, there will be snow before 1 p.m. and then a chance of rain and snow with a high near 40 degrees. It’ll be breezy again with a north wind around 22 miles per hour and gusts as high as 39 miles per hour. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation with new snow accumulation of one to two inches possible.

By Saturday, it’ll be 51 degrees and sunny.
