Super Bowl: Where to Watch and Find Food, Drink Specials

Several local eateries and bars are holding Super Bowl parties on Feb. 3.

The Baltimore Ravens will face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 3.

Patch has put together a list of several local eateries and bars where you can catch the game as well as some food and drink specials.

Bourbon Street
40-12 Bell Blvd., Bayside

The doors will open at 6 p.m. at Bourbon Street, where attendees will be able to snack on a hot and cold buffet and take part in raffles and prize drawings.

The game will be shown on Bourbon Street’s giant plasma screen TVs. Those who turn out will get unlimited mixed drinks, bottled beer, tap beer, wine and soda. The cover charge is $45 per person.

Brian Dempsey’s American Ale House
39-31 Bell Blvd., Bayside

Visitors can watch the game on one of 20 TVs. Wings and beer specials will be available throughout the day. The ale house will also offer a $50 open bar special.

The Attic Bar and Lounge
44-25 Douglaston Parkway, Douglaston

The Attic will offer a full kitchen and free food during the game. There will also be 25 cent wing specials, $10 pitchers, other drink specials and free shots during touchdowns.

Austin’s Steak and Ale House
82-70 Austin St., Kew Gardens 

For $50, attendees will have unlimited drinks on micro drafts, bottle beer and top shelf cocktails. A dinner buffet will be served at half-time and raffles and prize drawings will be held during the event.

The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
