Surprise burst of snow during morning commute provides a reminder of the winter-that-was in Little Neck
A cold, steady rain gave way to heavy snow showers at approximately 9:30 this morning — perhaps causing more than a few Little Neck residents to do a double take at the calendar on this first full day of spring.
No accumulation of ice, snow or any of the wintery brew that so bedeviled the neighborhood during the in city history, was expected.
