A child doesn't have to be very athletic to get exercise. One suggestion is to get them to put down the computer and video games and get moving.
Playing ball in the back yard with family and friends is a great form of exercise. Riding scooters and bikes and walking places instead of taking car rides are other ideas. No team sports are necessary. Even a trip to the beach or a pool can involve exercise.
