Each week, our Parents Council of experts takes your questions, gives advice and shares solutions.
Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.
This week’s question is:
What are some items parents should put on their last minute check list of things to do prior to their children starting school in the fall?
Judy Vincent
Parents should make sure their kids get to the doctor, make sure they've assembled any child care or after school arrangements if necessary and, most importantly, get all the school supplies they need.
We'd love to hear from parents in Bayside, Douglaston and Little Neck. What are some other things you believe are important to do to ensure your child is ready for the new school year? Post your comments in the section provided below.
