Community Board 11 recently discussed budget priorities for northeast Queens for Fiscal Year 2013. What are some suggestions for improvements to local schools that you'd like to see in the near future?

Judy Vincent:

I think one of the areas that is being compromised with budget cuts is bussing. They are cutting down on the amount of busses, causing longer commutes for the children. 

Special education children should not be allowed on a city school bus for 90 minutes. All the greatest ideas in the world cannot come to life if there is no money. Art, music and extra programs are the first to get cut.
