Little Neck history up for bid, a hearty congrats and a Winter Exhibition you don't want to miss

News, announcements and events worth going to the highest bidder:

1. Our sources tell us Scobee's , which closed to  from longtime customers last weekend, will be held today at the now-closed location. Check back with us for an announcement as to the exact time. Also, be sure to look for our coverage of the what and how much in regards to the historic items up for bid.

2. Later today, we have a story on what the federal government is doing to the birds of Little Neck Bay, why they are doing it and how some environmentalists believe there is a much less drastic and more effective way of doing it.
