Registration under way for Little Neck Soccer winter clinic

Good morning, Little Neck! Today we're working hard to bring you news and events worthy of any self-respecting soccer fanatic (the decidedly-American kind that is, minus the hooliganism and vuvuzelas):

1. Though the city's deputy mayor for economic development got the most credit Wednesday for an outside-the-box idea to extend the 7 train under the Hudson River to New Jersey, here's a perhaps just as groundbreaking transportation proposal, courtesy of our own Councilman Dan Halloran.

2. Watch out for our coverage of last night's Community District Education Council meeting at in Little Neck.

3. For those looking to attend "When the Kids Move Back In" at the Samuel Field Y, be warned: this session for adults dealing with the social and economic pressures resulting in grown children moving back home has been canceled.
