Nov. 1: Five Things You Need to Know Today

What you need to know this Tuesday.

1. The residents of 57th Avenue got their wish: upgraded hood and hanger catch basins (translation: a better drainage system) will be installed by the Department of Environmental Protection in the near future, meaning garages and basements will no longer flood during heavy rains. Fingers crossed.

2. Halloween isn't all ghostly shadows and bumps in the night. It's also utterly adorable.
