Where can you go to honor the service of others today?

No city does Memorial Day quite like New York, with parades, festivities, and fleet week all coming together as a fitting salute to our veterans and those who gave their lives to defend our shores.

Here is a listing of just a handful of the parades happening in Queens and New York City on Memorial Day Weekend.

Little Neck/Douglaston

The Little Neck and Douglaston parade starts at 2 p.m. on May 30, and will run from Lakevillle Road and Northern Boulevard in Great Neck down Northern until it reaches 244th Street in Douglaston

Forest Hills

The annual American Legion Continental Post 1424 Parade will kickoff at noon on Sunday, May 29 from Ascan & Metropolitan Avenues. The Parade will proceed west along Metropolitan Avenue to Remsen Memorial Cemetery  where a ceremony will be held honoring those lost serving our country and protecting our freedom.

Maspeth

The Maspeth Memorial Day Parade will start at 1 p.m. at Grand Avenue and 72nd Place in Maspeth.

Manhattan

The Annual Memorial Day Parade and Manhattan will kick off at 12 p.m., Monday, May 30 at Broadway and Dyckman Street in Manhattan. It is scheduled to last until 1 p.m.
