(Maybe) Marrying on Sunday? Share Your Story with Us

A lottery is being held for a coveted spot to wed on Sunday. Did you enter?

On Thursday, city officials will announce the 112 Queens couples selected by lottery to wed at Borough Hall on July 24, the first day that same-sex marriages can be legally performed in the state of New York.

The after the number of couples vying to tie the knot on Sunday greatly exceeded the city's capabilities -- a total of 2,661 applications were submitted since the vote was passed in late June, but officials determined that they could only realistically accommodate 764 couples for all five boroughs.

Queens and Brooklyn each have 112 spots available. Manhattan has 400, the Bronx has 98 and Staten Island has 42.
