Little Neck Week In Review

Cleaning up and clearing out

It's that time of the year again: with temperatures on the rise and summer vacations beckoning, residents across Little Neck are taking a critical eye to the accumulated mementos of long winters past, stacked up in garages, sheds and basements.

In Doug Manor on Saturday, residents took that seasonal ritual to a new level, raising hundreds of dollars at their to help beautify their neighborhood.

This collective effort was a reminder of how people can band together to make their corner of the world a better place — all while getting rid of what some might call "junk," others call "treasure," in the process.
