Little Neck Week In Review

Along with the warm breeze on this glorious Sunday — a soft caress that goes far towards erasing the traces of — comes equally palpable signs of rebirth and renewal up and down Northern Boulevard.

Take the to the veterans of one of America's great wars, which received a much overdue place in the spotlight in a press conference held by the members of the Douglaston Village community and Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone. 

Or, for those more inclined to take their signs from the business world, there was the creation of as the McDonald's in Little Neck added to their workforce. 

Indeed these are modest, non-earth shattering developments in our community. But we will take it.... with the hope of bright sunny skies ahead.

Monday
Sen. Tony Avella to the Samuel Field Y... just in time for Passover.

Tuesday
Deficits. Extending Bush-era tax cuts for the rich. Family planning. These are all issues that Democrats and Republican struggle to find any common ground on in Washington, D.C. However, on  much closer to home, elected officials to seek a permanent solution.  

Wednesday
With the price of gold soaring, whether they'd give up some of their jewelry for some extra cash.

Thursday
Chances are Douglas Manor residents have already scoped out the lights, cameras and vintage Model T Fords on Shore Road. For the rest of our readers, on Douglaston's close-up, courtesy of the hit HBO drama, Boardwalk Empire. 

Friday
in Nassau County court for allegedly entering a Great Neck sports club after hours on April 15, stealing equipment and an unknown amount of cash. 

Saturday
