Spring is 'in' as we look back at the week that was in our area

It was a week filled with surprising and not-so-surprising developments in our 'Neck of the woods. 

On Thursday, schools chancellor Cathie Black after three stormy months on the job — a welcome move for many area residents, school board members and elected officials. Then, on a national level, the federal government averted a shutdown with between Congressional Democrat and Republican leaders.
