Icy conditions, an 8-alarm fire and adult basketball among your 5 Things this Tuesday

Keep safe, Little Neck. Mother Nature has thrown another curveball at our region in the form of a potentially dangerous mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain this morning.

And to make matters worse for Queens' Bravest, an 8-alarm fire at a Jamaica warehouse overnight — a blaze which reportedly lasted 10 hours and 40 minutes — sent four firemen to the hospital when the structure's roof collapsed.

1. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. today for our area, with a mix of freezing rain and sleet forecast to change over to plain-old rain later this morning.

2. Alternate side parking regulations remain suspended. Meter rules still apply.
