Little Neck residents of all ages set to demonstrate — yet again — their 'stiff upper lip'

Good morning, Little Neck. It's been almost 24 hours since New Yorkers across the city yet again demonstrated one of their chief attributes: resilience in the face of .

And for commuters, parents of school-age children still frustrated by the  and those simply looking to do some grocery shopping, today looks to be no different.

So to help make things a bit easier, here are your Five Things for today, Jan. 13:

1. It may be one of the only silver linings to the mounds of white stuff: alternate side parking rules have been suspended today. Parking meters still need to be fed, however.

2. As we wrote , garbage and recycling pickup resumed last night, starting with those scheduled for Tuesday collection service. Moving forward, residents should place their refuse and recyclables out the evening before their regularly scheduled collection day. Expect some delays, DSNY says.
