Jan. 11: More Snow

Be prepared, Little Neck. Less than three weeks after a blizzard brought things to a standstill, our neighborhood faces yet another major snow event. 

Here are the stories, events and announcements for a calm Tuesday before the storm:

1. Here we go again. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area, with forecast snowfall from 8 to 14 inches and wind gusts up to 25 mph. Right now, forecasters predict the heaviest snowfall will occur after midnight tonight.

2. Looking for equipment to help deal with all this snow, such as shovels, rock salt, etc.? Here's our first reminder to shop local. Snow equipment can be found and in our neighborhood.
