High Winds, Rain in Tuesday's Forecast

National Weather Service says northeast Queens could experience up to 35 miles-per-hour winds and thunderstorms this afternoon.

Northeast Queens could be in for some high winds and strong thunderstorms this afternoon, according to the National Weather Forecast.

After this morning's showers, the afternoon is expected to have winds between 25 and 35 miles per hour and strong thunderstorms.

This evening will also be windy, but thunderstorms are expected to give way to steadier rains, which could equal up to one inch of rainfall.

In terms of temperature, today's high is 74, but humidity could be as high as 87 percent. The rest of the week is expected to be sunny or cloudy with temperatures in the low to mid 70s.
