Hamptons Agenda: Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Bruce Vilanch and Judy Gold, Fireworks

Fourth of July celebrations kick-off this weekend in the Hamptons and while taking in some fireworks displays and spending time outdoors may be part of the agenda, there are plenty of events to take up your entire weekend. Here are some of the hottest events happening in the Hamptons this weekend.

Montauk

Cooking: World-renowned celebrity chef will be cooking dinner for one-night only Saturday at The Backyard Restaurant at Sole East to celebrate his new book, "Yes, Chef."

Samuelsson will be cooking for two sittings a four-course dinner paired with wines from Bedell Cellars, Channing Daughters and Clovis Point. Reservations are being accepted for 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. seatings. The dinner is $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity. A signed copy of "Yes, Chef" will be included with the dinner. Amagansett

Benefit: Stony Hill Stables will host a benefit for the on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stony Hill Stables on Town Lane in Amagansett. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports equine sports, providing riding education and competition opportunities for children and young adults living in the local East End community. East Hampton

Theater:  Guild Hall presents its final weekend of  a comedy written by Murray Schisgal, under the direction of Lonny Price that stars Kahan James, Robert Stanton, and Jennifer Regan. Two misfit college friends, Harry and Milt, are reunited when one stops the other from jumping off a bridge. They reconnect by sharing their hard luck stories and Harry comes to be the solution to Milt's biggest problem. Weekend performances run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.   

Author Talks: BookHampton in East Hampton continues to fill its bookstore on the weekends with authors stopping by to chat about their books. On Friday, author will be stopping by at 8 p.m. to discuss "Heading Out to Wonderful."

On Saturday, there will be a double-header of author talks. Leading off, author will be chatting about her book "Intimate Wars" at 5 p.m. Then, author will discuss "The Cause" at 8 p.m.

Admission for these events is free.

Trunk Show and Cocktail Party: Christopher Fischer Cashmere will host , a pre-event cocktail party to kick-off the Fall 2012 Trunk Show. The cocktail party will be on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ten percent of all proceeds during the party will benefit the American Cancer Society. The will run in East Hampton through July 10.

Author Talk: Authors Pauline Sutcliffe and Diane Vitale will discuss their new book, at the East Hampton Library on Saturday at 1 p.m. Sutcliffe is sister of the late Stuart Sutcliffe, who was an early member of The Beatles, and the book commemorates the 50th anniversary of his death. Admission is free, but reservations are required for this event. Call 631-324-0222 to reserve your spot.

Benefit: The will take place on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at a private residence in East Hampton. The event proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization Wellness Foundation, which provides programs, services, and support to the community to live a healthy lifestyle. The night's special guest will be wellness expert and New York Times Best-Selling author Kathy Freston. Tickets are $150. For more information, call 631-329-2950.

Sag Harbor

Comedy: Bay Street Theatre presents on Saturday at 8 p.m. Vilanch, a multi-Emmy Award winner, and Gold come to Bay Street for one-night only. Tickets for $100 include an after-party where you can top off the night with Vilanch and Gold, while enjoying wine, refreshments and hors d'oeurves. Tickets are $65, $75 and $100. Fireworks: On Saturday, Sag Harbor Yacht Club will hold its , which will be shot from a barge outside of the Breakwater at approximately 9:30 p.m. The fireworks can easily be viewed from Haven's Beach, Marine Park and The Long Wharf. For more information, call 631-725-0567.

Bridgehampton

Outdoor Movie: "Citizen Kane" will be shown outdoors at Silas Marder Gallery in Bridgehampton on Friday at 9 p.m. The screening is part of a summer series known as , which is presented in partnership with the Hamptons International Film Festival. All films are free and you may bring beach chairs, blankets and a picnic.

Kick-Off Party: Eat Drink Local Film Festival will host a . on Saturday to kick-off their season with The Parrish Road Show, an off-site creative summer series that is designed to gather artists, visitors and members of the East End community at Silas Marder Gallery. The party will have locally produced food, short films about farmers and fishermen and a selection of food vendors will be on-site. Admission is free and you pay as you eat. The food will be served at 7:30 p.m. and the films begin at 8:30 p.m.

Fundraiser: The Bridgehampton Community House will host the on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The "Goat on a Boat Family FUNdraiser" will feature treats, games, fun, and dancing. Live music will be provided by Dog on Fleas. This family-friendly event will include a light dinner and silent auction. Tickets for this event are $45 for adults and $10 for children. Southampton

Fundraiser: MacKenzie-Childs in Southampton will be hosting an on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to support the Southampton Animal Shelter. Ten percent of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the animal shelter and light refreshments will be served.

Author Talk: Local author comes to BookHampton in Southampton on Saturday at 5 p.m. She will discuss her locally relevant book, "The Southampton Cottages of Gin Lane: The Original Hamptons Summer Colony." Admission is free.

Westhampton Beach

Music: The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center brings , best known for her hit "Sunny Came Home," to the stage on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Her new album is "All Fall Down," which combines folk, country, rock and the blues. Tickets are $40, $55, and $70. To purchase tickets, call 631-288-1500.

Benefit: A will be held at the Sandacres private estate in Quogue on Saturday at 7 p.m. to benefit the East End Hospice. Bonnie Grice, 88.3 radio personality, will be the mistress of ceremonies. Music will be provided by the Julie Bluestone Band and cocktails and dinner will be served by Beth D'Alessio.
