Great Escape: Underground Movies Outdoors
Summer series of outdoor rooftop screenings of 'indie' films.

The 'Underground Movies Outdoors,' film series taking place all summer long at various locations around the city.
And this Thursday, July 21, 8 p.m., at 25-25 44th Drive in Long Island City, there will be a private screening of “Hope and Heartbreak,” a program of comedies, dramas, and documentaries about the anguish of new love and bitterness of love lost.

An event created by filmmakers from New York, Texas, the United Kingdom and Poland, 'Underground Movies Outdoors,' offers a unique perspective on filmmaking from around the world.
Thursday night's activities will also include live performances from the French post-noise rock band 'Careful.'

Then immediately after 'Careful,' the films will be projected onto the wall of the Rockrose-owned building, and guest seated in the parking lot below will get to experience the magic of movies under the stars.
Doors open at 8:00 p.m., 'Careful,' goes on at 8:30 p.m., and the films debut at 9:00 p.m.
Seating is limited, and on a first-come-first-served basis, so get there early and but tickets in advance online at www.rooftopfilms.com.
