Great Escape: The Tree at 30 Rock
Day trip into Manhattan to see the famed Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center.
With the holiday crowds almost all gone, now's the perfect time to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
Indeed a world-wide symbol of the holidays, especially in New York City, literally hundreds of thousands of people make the pilgrimage each year to the grand tree at 30 Rock.
But you'd better hurry because the big Norway spruce with all its five miles of lights and Swarovski crystal star crown will be taken down this Saturday, January 7, 2012.

And while visiting the tree, why not hop down to the ice rink for a little fun on skates—another holiday tradition most oft-overlooked by New Yorkers every year.
Then when all is said and done, top the afternoon off with a nice snack at one of the many sit down restaurants, snack bars, or bakeries located underneath the square inside Rockefeller Plaza.
