Great Escape: Early Independence Day
Celebrating the holiday a few days before July 4th.
Come one, come all, and celebrate July 4th a little early this year.
On Thursday, June 30, Astoria Park will host a very special Independence Day celebration, including a musical performance by the Astoria Symphony Orchestra.
Then immediately after the performance stick around to watch a fireworks spectacular courtesy of Fireworks by Grucci – known as the 'First Family of Fireworks.'

The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. on the Astoria Park Lawn located on Shore Boulevard between the Hell Gate Bridge and Astoria Pool.
Admission is free, so you may want to get their early to claim a primo spot.
