Why Go: If you're gearing up for the Dreamgirls sing-along, this will definitely get your vocal chords ready.

Pricing: $20 or free if you register for Adult Acting immediately following the event.

Why Go: Because nobody will shush you as you sing your heart out to this worthwhile drama.

4. Brunch for Lives

Where/When: Strawberry's Sports Grill. On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: You'll enjoy while contributing to the efforts of the Little Neck Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps. A portion of the proceeds will go to the corps.Tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be sold as well.

Pricing: $15.95 for brunch buffet

Where/When: Little Neck Jewish Center. On Sunday at 7 p.m.

Why Go: This event features a screening of the film "The Forgotten Refugees," which is about Jewish refugees. Light refreshments will be served after the film.

Pricing: $5 donation is requested
