We know what you're thinking — tuna on pizza?! But this recipe is an adaption from the playbook of H. J. Heinz and we figured if the Steelers play in Heinz Field, their fans might like some Heinz inspired pizza.
Ingredients
1 pouch (7 ounces) White Tuna
¼ cup olive oil
3 large garlic cloves
1 cup fresh basil
2 tablespoons fresh oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella
1 can sliced black olives, drained
1 large tomato, diced
1 jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained
½ cup sliced red onion
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Pillsbury Grand Rolls
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Separate and flatten each biscuit and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Puree olive oil, some artichokes, garlic, basil, and oregano until almost smooth.
4. Brush olive oil mix onto your rolls.
5. Put tuna, olives, tomato, artichoke hearts, and onions equally over crust.
6. Top pizza with more mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and brown.
8. Cool 5 minutes before cutting.
