Endangered Bears Relish Holiday Meal [VIDEO]

The Christmas holiday was on for wild life at the Queens Zoo

Two Andean bears at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo opened their Christmas presents before a crowd.

Cisco and Spangles nuzzled into wrapped parcels stuffed with flavorsome molasses and peanut butter.

The holiday gifts were given by zookeepers.

Cisco and Spangles are some of the last Andean bears, with only 2,400 remaining Andean in the wild. Habitat loss and human hunting for fur and meat have depleted their numbers.

Coyotes and pumas also had the chance to celebrate the holidays on a sweet note.
