Douglaston/Little Neck Library Wants To Be Your Valentine

Ah February, the month for romance. Your Queens Library in Douglaston and Little Neck invites you to share the love with a variety of special programs.

On Feb. 10 at 3:30 p.m., children and teens will be taking part in Cards for Soldiers, an arts and crafts session that will support our troops.

The library will host a Valentine’s Day celebration for children, ages two to 12 years, on Feb. 11 at 3:30 p.m. with fun and hearts all around.

We'll also be presenting a special Valentine's Day concert - From Italy with Love, which will feature performer Dino Rossi. That concert will take place on Feb. 14 at 1:30 p.m.

On Mondays, the library will also offer Basic Computer Skills classes at 10 a.m. and Knitting and Crochet Club at 4 p.m.

We will offer Mother Goose Time classes for little ones, ages nine to 24 months, every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

There will also be AARP Tax Assistance for Seniors from noon to 4 p.m. every Wednesday.

Our Friday schedule will include Toddler Time for children, ages two to three-and-a-half years, at 10:15 a.m.

If you are looking for a unique way to express your support, the Friends of the Douglaston/Little Neck Library are asking the community to help fill the shelves through the Buy-A-Book Program.

Donations large and small will help buy new materials for your library. With donations of $25 or more, a personalized book plate will be placed in your book, and may be dedicated to the one you love. What could be more romantic than that?
