Take a Look Back at the Top Stories from the Past Seven Days

It was a quieter week in Douglaston following the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday shopping bonanza, but we posted a number of big stories on Douglaston Patch during the past several days. 

Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations kicked off this week with the Community Church of Douglaston's vespers service and the Bayside Hills Civic Association's holiday lights ceremony. The Douglaston Village Chamber of Commerce's holiday festival is on the way.

We also provided an update on Fairway Market and a story on the Douglaston Garden Club.

Thursday

The National Art League is selling art works at its gallery for the holiday season. Cardozo High School's women's basketball team defeated Beach Channel.

Friday

On Friday, we posted a story about the Douglaston Garden Club, which won a national prize.

Weekend

Weekend coverage included a story about a  dog run that opened at Little Bay Park and a preview of an upcoming Alley Pond Environmental Center event.
