Dec. 28: Cleaning Up

A progress report on plowing of city streets, word of a new push to revive the Q79 and looming toll hikes

We are a hardy bunch, Little Neck. With piles of snow appearing this morning almost exactly where we shoveled it out Monday, this week seems destined to require a mammoth amount of patience, fortitude and, above all, good humor from us all.

So with these fine and lofty attributes in mind, here are the stories, events and announcements for your Tuesday:

1. As if the fact that our cars cannot make it two feet down the street wasn't bad enough, now comes word of this week's increase in tolls over the city's bridges and tunnels, as well as LIRR fare hikes.
