Cooling Centers in Northeast Queens
Local libraries and senior centers provide respite from temperatures that are expected to exceed 90 degrees this afternoon.
Another heat advisory is in effect today, as temperatures are expected to hover in the 90s through Tuesday evening.
Cooling centers are dotted throughout each of the five boroughs. In northeast Queens, the closest options are:

- , 249-01 Northern Blvd. open Tuesday from 1 - 6 p.m.
- Glen Oaks Library, 256-04 Union Turnpike, open Tuesday from 1 - 6 p.m.
- SNAP of Eastern Queens Senior Center, 80-45 Winchester Blvd., open Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- CCNS Bayside Senior Center, 221-15 Horace Harding Expy., open Tuesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
