Bayside Streets Will Be Closed on Jan. 30 and 31 to Allow for TV Shoot

'The Americans' will shoot at several Bayside locales this week.

There will be no parking on several Bayside streets on Jan. 30 and 31 to allow for the FX show “The Americans” to film, according to the Bayside Village Business Improvement District.

Scenes for the show will be shot at the neighborhood’s Long Island Rail Road station and inside a number of other area locales.

Crews will be setting up equipment from 10 p.m. on Wednesday through late in the day on Thursday.

At those times, these streets will have no parking:

Bell Boulevard from 39th Avenue to 42nd Avenue

40th Avenue from 212th Street to 214th Place

40th Avenue from 214th Place to 215th Place

214th Place from 39th Avenue to 40th Avenue

215th Street from 39th Avenue to 40th Avenue

All of these streets will be open to vehicular traffic and the municipal lot on 41st Avenue and 214th Place will also be in operation.

Not what the local businesses need. Even less parking for their customers. Doesn't anybody take note of the business climate on the boulevard with all the vacate stores.

When we received the flyer, with the written notice, it was filled with typos and spelling errors. I wonder who typed it.

Think I may check this show out after seeing WWII-era Russian soldiers on the LIRR platform this morning.. interesting to see how they edit out the 21st century graffiti all over the station walls

I would think that the Bayside BID was advised of this proposal and would have provided pushback if the business community did not approve the contract, wouldn't they? I also am thinking of the additional business the production crews, actors, and others that were part of the show brought to the Bayside businesses. They all had to eat meals or cater food breaks and bring in revenue to the Bayside merchants while they were here.

No it was a plan. There is another one in front of the church on 36 and Bell
