The Bayside Historical Society is hosting a Valentine’s Day-themed jazz brunch at the castle in Fort Totten on Feb. 10.
The menu for the event will include an egg-based casserole, French toast bread pudding with maple syrup, croissants, strawberries, mini muffins and sparkling punch, said Allison McKay, the historical society’s archivist.
This is the second year that the society has hosted the “Passion and Piano” jazz brunch.
“Last year, for our art show, we had a jazz trio and people told us we should do an event that was separate,” she said.
Graduate students from the State University of New York’s Conservatory of Music will play during the event, which begins at noon.
Those interested in attending must make a reservation by the end of the day on Feb. 8.
Tickets for historical society members are $15, while entry for non-members is $20. The historical society is located at 208 Totten Ave. in Bayside. For more information, call 718-352-1548.
