Welcome to the weekend, Little Neck! , we're still looking for opinionated, passionate and outspoken members of the community to blog for Little Neck Patch starting May 4.

1. Residents across northeast Queens and elsewhere may have heard about a certain wedding between a guy named Will (kind of a 'wheel' in some circles) and his longtime girlfriend, Kate. Handsome couple, though we're still not quite sure what the big fuss is about, really. 

2. It's never too early to start thinking about Mother's Day (which for those of you looking to avoid any last minute mishaps this year is Sunday, May 8). For starters, check out at Alley Pond Park filled with natural and un-cut wildflowers.

3. Police pulling over newly appointed schools chancellor and longtime Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott are now under investigation after a traffic stop on Thursday evening. The incident occurred blocks away from Walcott's Cambria Heights home in Queens. 

4. The sight of those Model Ts at the in Douglaston whet your appetite for classic cars? Check out the at the Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park on Sunday. 

5. After a stormy couple of days, expect much calmer conditions this weekend, with sunny skies in the forecast and temps in the 60s.
