Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Sept. 3

Drivers will not need to move their cars on Monday as the city celebrates Labor Day.

Alternate side parking has been suspended on Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day, according to the city's Department of Transportation.

There will be no street cleaning and parking meters will not be in effect on the holiday. Government offices will also be closed for the day.

Obviously, it…Read More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.
