Alternate side parking has been suspended on Feb. 24 in observance of Purim, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
Parking meters and all other regulations will be in effect.
Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates a story told in the Biblical Book of Esther. In the story, Haman, royal vizier to King Ahasuerus, plots to destroy the Jewish people, but is thwarted by Queen Esther and Mordecai.
The holiday is known for being one of feasting and celebration.
