Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Aug. 21

Drivers will not need to move cars as city celebrates Idul-Fitr.

Alternate side parking has been suspended on Aug. 21 in observance of Idul-Fitr, according to the city's Department of Transportation.

There will be no street cleaning on Tuesday, but parking meters will remain in effect on the holiday, which is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan.

Obviously, it…Read More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.
