Alternate side parking has been suspended on Jan. 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
Drivers will not need to move their vehicles for street cleaning. But parking meters and all other regulations will be in effect.
President Ronald Reagan signed the holiday celebrating the life of the civil rights leader into law in 1983. It was first celebrated on Jan. 20, 1986.
