Welcome to About Town, Douglaston-Little Neck Patch’s one-stop post for all of the events, meetings, top stories and other important information you need to know about for the upcoming week.

Meetings

On May 1, the 111th Precinct Community Council will gather at the precinct, located at 45-06 215th St. in Bayside, at 7:30 p.m.

Community District Education Council 26 will meet on May 2 at 7 p.m. at Little Neck’s M.S. 74, where local students will put on a ballroom dance performance.

Community Board 11 will hold its next meeting on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Bayside’s M.S. 158.

Events

The Douglaston Little Neck Library will offer its weekly class on Monday.

On Tuesday, the Woman’s Club of Douglaston will hold its annual luncheon and meeting in Garden City.

There will be a free comedy night at The Attic Bar and Lounge on Thursday evening.

On Saturday, wander around Douglaston in search of forgotten treasures during the third annual .

The Deepdale Pool will host open houses on Saturday and Sunday. Regular pool season begins after Memorial Day.
