Navi said he believed Wild Cherry would be a welcome addition to the community.

“There’s nothing like this nearby,” he said. “There are a lot of restaurants in the shopping center, but there is nowhere to get desert. We will serve healthy non-fat yogurt. It will be good for adults and children.”

The bar will feature 12 different flavors as well as 40 toppings.

Navi said the eatery will be similar to Red Mango, but will be a self-serve operation.

Patrons will be able to weigh their selections by ounce.

Currently, the building is undergoing interior construction to its ceiling and dry wall, according to a notice posted on the window by the city’s Department of Buildings.

The site will also get new electrical wiring, drains and sinks.
