Wine Bar Planned for Douglaston's 235th Street

Site expected to open later in the fall.

A new wine bar is expected to open later this year along Douglaston's 235th Street near the community's Long Island Rail Road station.

The bar would be located between Vees Dry Cleaners and Jimmy's Shoe Repair.

The wine bar's owners were not available for comment and it was unclear what the name of the site would be.

But Angelo Kouloufakos, of Station Realty, said he had been told by the bar's operator that it would serve beer, wine, appetizers, salami, cheese and fruit.

"Hopefully, they'll open soon," Kouloufakos said. "Right now, they're waiting for their license and permits."

The wine bar was expected to open later in the fall.
