What Should Replace Beautiful U Nails & Hair?

What was a beauty salon is now an empty storefront on 35th Ave.

Last night I was in need of some beauty services. I was on my way to a place I'm more familiar with, when I saw the sign for "."

I'm not one to try new nail places—unless I'm in a pinch. But it was getting late, and I figured this could be my last shot at getting any sort of fixing up that night. So I made a quick turn around the corner, parallel parked my car, made sure it was a legal spot, walked around the block, and arrived at the empty storefront underneath that sign.

The place, which was located at 205-07 35th Ave., is now completely vacant and for rent.

Now as it happens, a brand new beauty salon just opened up , but what about this corner of 35th Ave.? What kind of business do you think the 35th Ave. commercial stretch could use?

A health food store would be great. We used to have one on Bell Blvd. I wish we had one now!

Certainly not another nail salon. I often wonder what the scam is that so many of them can exist and pay high rents on Bell Blvd and other areas.

Beautiful U Hair and Nails was not a scam. She was put out of business by the greedy landlord or also made Roberts move after 32 years. Greed seems to win over people trying to make an honest living. The hair and nail salon moved to Francis Lewis Blvd and 35 Ave. Funny Roberts also moved to the same block. Make Francis Lewis a busy neighborhood while 35Ave and 205 looks lost in the wilderness. Maybe landlords should think of beautification of a neighborhood rather than their pockets.
